In April of 2005, after a year of searching and seeking God’s direction, Bart & Jodi Stone felt God was calling them to something new – they just weren’t sure what it was! They were on staff at Northeast Christian Church, a large, contemporary, growing church in Louisville, KY. It was safe and comfortable, but God was calling. In May of ’05 they attended the Church Planting Assessment Center and were challenged by a National Church Planting Organization, Stadia, to plant a church in Henry County, Georgia. By August 1st the decision was made to go, and the Stone’s moved to Henry County in January 2006.
Momentum launched a year later, on January 21, 2007, and the past few years have been an incredible ride! We are currently planning to launch a second campus in 2012 on the east side of Henry County. God is leading this exciting adventure and we are just excited to be a part of it with him. We can’t wait to see how the story unfolds!”
